hmmmm... quite impressive. Do the two trees signify something? Broken hearted in love or that kinda stuff. U know, ones green and prospering and the other on the different side of the river withering away, slowly dying a painful death.
I know, I know. I am a total sucker for melancholy...
The bigger tree towards the left looks a bit jerky and blurred. The tree towards the left is excellent and I think I grasped the meaning (if any) you wanted to convey through this sketch!
first of all.. this one is incomplete, and even then its on the blog coz it will never reach completion. I made this during my stay in hostel (last week) as a demonstration of the process of sketching to a friend. Now since I am back home, the original one lies back at hostel with the girl.
Second... When I created this, there was no significance of any leafy trees or thunderstruck trees. It was just that I felt like putting it there at the moment. But I liked the meanings that you all gave to it.
oh no pawan.. there is optimism... its just that u cant see it. I'll let you know in a few days ! hoping that paritosh would find something before I say it.
About the optimism part.. y dont u look at it as... Life is all bout happiness and sadness.. if u r on the bank u dont want to be in... how about trying to cross the river to be on the other !
I cant really say how much i love your work Mou! I'm visiting your blog after a long time and every time I visit this blog, I see more creativity and the talent that you possess. Keep up the good work :)
-------------- About the sketch:
I look at the two trees as two sides / companions / societies, one fairly successful and the other not so. But they still coexist despite the contrast. Reminds me of India :)

@ paritosh
I tag you ... find out a optimistic side to the picture ! :P
Well, even though you didn't have a thought, all I can see out there is pessimism!
It signifies a lot, without actually having anything!
That's the power of art maybe!
